Bakuman, Volume 13: Avid Readers and Love at First Sight by Takeshi Obata, Tsugumi Ohba

4.0

What a great series. I continue to find inspiration, love the nods to all the series that have come before, the continued development of the characters and really pretty much everything about this series.

Obha and Obata really make a great team. Like Mashiro and Takagi they seem to be able to cover just about any genre, with a spin that makes it unique and gives it that Ohabata (!) edge. I just wish that some of the invented series that they showcase in these books were real. I'm sure I'd love Otter No. 11, and PCP.

I'm just sad now that I'll have to wait for a while before reading Volume 14. After re-reading the entire series up to 13 I really got fired up about it again. It took me days to read vol. 12 savoring it and doling it out in doses...I read vol. 13 in just two sittings because I just couldn't get myself to put it down.

Can't wait to see if Muto Ashirogi will get another series or what!
