The Trouble with Magic
by Madelyn Alt
While most of the plot and dialogue was predictable, it was still a somewhat entertaining read. I liked Christine and Steff, and while Maggie's resistance to the existence of the supernatural was refreshing it was also melodramatic and a bit eye-rolling. The negative, knee-jerk, conservative, christian-fundamental-sounding reaction some characters had to "witchcraft" really turned me off.
Overall it wasn't interesting enough and at the end I didn't care who killed who. I don't think I'll seek out more in the series.
