This is book 2 in the Men Of Club Triskelion, and I had read Owned (book 1 prior). This was more for context, as these can be read as standalones.

Declan is the eldest Evans brother, a widower/father/protector. He lost his wife just on 12 months ago. Quinn, the FMC, has been in their lives since they were all kids, so she has grown up and treated been like a little sister. But, Quinn and Declan have a shared history, and this unfolds as the story does. Quinn has been subject to the worse possible violation, and Declan blames himself entirely, it was his job to protect her.

There is quite a history between these two, but due to series of events that played out, Quinn hadn't been around for a number of years, and when she returns....well he's married and a father. The attraction to each other never faded, but Declan also struggles with the guilt of his wife that died, but these two, well, their connection is off the charts. There is still the underlying threat from the Bratva (that carries thru from book 1) and this only proves the love and devotion Declan has for his Quinn.

This book has some very heavy subjects so please ensure you are fully informed before diving in, but, for me, it is everything I love in a book. And these Evans Brothers, well, let's just say, I am looking forward to the next book(s) where, I am sure, the other brother's stories will be told.
