The Old Man and the Sea is one of my all-time favorite books. The first time I read it was on New Year's Eve (don't judge me). It was my 100th book and a great story to finish the year with. This time, it's a Polish translation with the help of various translators. I also bought the Polish version audiobook to listen along to about halfway through.
I think reading along with the audiobook that is narrated by a native speaker is an effective learning method. However, I got lost whenever I tried to get a translation on the fly, and it always took awhile to get in sync. I look forward to getting better with this.
