Maybe if I hadn't read it with bored and apathetic high schoolers as part of a curricular unit, I would have enjoyed this better. Or maybe if I got to see it performed by competent actors.

I'm sure this was groundbreaking in 1954, but mostly I found it tedious, preachy, and boring. But again, I'd probably feel differently if I saw it performed professionally.
