The Last Library by Freya Sampson

4.0

A light read perfect for these hot days when you don’t want to think too much. Library assistant June knows a lot about the regulars at Chalcot Library, but they know very little about her. When her mum who was the librarian passed away 8 years ago June stepped into her shoes, and although she loves books and had dreamed to be a writer, she has retreated into herself. When the library is threatened with closure a ragtag band of regulars establish the Friends of Chalcot Library campaign, but can this eccentric band of people save the library and in turn give June a new purpose in life.
