Was this book genre-bending or just weird?? Weird. The answer is weird. I’m only giving it two stars because I did keep reading because I wanted to see how it was going to end.

First of all, I couldn’t have cared less about any of the characters—they were about as deep as cardboard and less interesting. Of course, the whole time travel think was crazy, but it all turned out okay for Owen and Wendy. Like very okay. Suspiciously okay.

Beth also got really lucky and it was a good thing her real police duties didn’t get in the way of her drinkin’ and whorein’ and time travel mysterying. I lost a lot of respect for the book on like page 2 when, “She dropped her phone and got back to work on his buckle. They rushed themselves and climaxed together in less than five minutes.”

You ever read a book and go, this was written by a guy without any concept of women? Ding, ding, ding.

The mystery wasn’t that mysterious either —the reader since we knew what was going on and I didn’t care much about Beth (as you may have guessed).

All and all, I’d skip it.
