If I were Katniss after what happened with Rue, I’d maybe kms. I cried cause FAWK that.

So instead of acknowledging applause, I stand there unmoving while they take part in the boldest form of dissent they can manage. Silence. Which says we do not agree. We do not condone. All of this is wrong.

Wanted to end it all when District 11 sent her the bread. Bye.

Maybe the people are right. I truly failed in life during middle school because I never read these books. At least I covered Harry Potter & Percy Jackson, but also no LOTR and Divergent. Oops.

I fw unreliable narrators heavily because Katniss is humble in the sense when being around others because everyone else from District 12 knows these are day-to-day useful abilities- setting snares, hunting, which foods to eat and which ones to not. In the arena and with the Capitol, these are skills that seem otherworldly. First person POV has Katniss surviving explicitly & effectively with the Capitol and Gamemakers gawking at this 16 year old girl fighting tooth and nail well.

I also can’t get Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson out of my head. I always thought Katniss was like 18-20 years old but is 16. Peeta, too. Yolo.

Lastly, how many times does Katniss mention how the stylists try to make the tributes sexy? Aren’t these kids 12-18 years old? Capitol’s wild.

Anyways, hell yeah.
