Note that is book is a prelude to Murder At The Met that I recently reviewed but is a short story of its own. It will help shape the next book but is not a requirement to read it. You can read my review of Book 2 here.

Penelope wounds up helping a fellow actress from having her career destroyed before it even starts. She helps the actress and ends up with a lot more than she bargained for when the "press" caught wind of her. Hopefully, her new friend can clear things up when it all "blows" on her.

In summary, In The Lobby is a great short read. The twist at the end was pretty good and was not as "crazy" as I thought it would be. Readers may be tempted to approach the story as a "complex" one but will indeed be surprised with how "simple" it is in the end. I liked it a lot! It is an excellent read to readers of the series that tells of Penelope's other exciting adventure in the US after what happened to Shanghai.
