Old Babes in the Wood by Margaret Atwood

1.0

1.5 stars, really.
It’s a collection of random essays with no running theme except all the protagonists are female. Some read as essays from writing workshops, almost-stories and half thoughts that went nowhere. One story - Free For All - stood out for its Handmaid Tale-ish plot.

Overall, it looks like one of those works where the writer is pressured to push out something to the market just because and the result is a mish mash and an unpleasant reading experience. Otherwise, the writing is clean, faultless, like from an A-star student.
