This is my favorite books so far this year. It is beautifully written. Everything is amazingly described it made me wince at many points. The three main characters are complex and have moments were I love and hate them. This book doesn't give you all of the answers which I think is one of it's biggest strengths. Especially with a niche genre like medieval horror. Having a mystery element where you aren't quite sure what happened reminds me of the Arthur tales and other medieval stories. Leaving things "up to God" or magic or jsit the strange unknowing in the world is amazing. I want to read more from this author.
