➽ In Volume 19 we're finally getting closer to Crocodile! Vivi and the Strawhats are en route to Rainbase where Crocodile has his casino, but trouble comes their way again. For one, Tashigi and Smoker are also in town and the moment when they meet Luffy and Usopp is hilarious 😂 I love the fact that Smoker is also suspicious of Crocodile, as he has a deep dislike for pirates, even the Warlords, who actually work for the government. He even ends up trapped in a seastone cage alongside Luffy, Zoro, Nami and Usopp.
➽ I loved the scene where Vivi finally meets Crocodile and confronts him about what he wants with Alabasta. Things are rapidly escalating, as Baroque Works is starting their master plan 'Operation Utopia'. Once again I have to say that I love Crocodile as a villain, he's got a certain charm and his plans for Alabasta are both sinister and clever. I find it interesting that he clearly has trust issues and openly mocks Vivi's loyalty to her friends and country. However, there is someone trying to throw a wrench in his plans. I loved the reveal of Mr. Prince!! 👀
