People We Meet on Vacation by Emily Henry

5.0

I want to read this book until the pages fall out and the ink fades. I want to melt this book down into a liquid and inject it into my veins, that’s how much I loved it. I don’t know why! It’s not particularly brilliant writing or a brand new, organic substance. But something in this book made me feel so seen and yet so unimaginably jealous at the same time. Poppy and Alex’s decade long dance around each other’s feelings pulled at my heart strings from the moment I opened the book. The yearning, knowing it’s wrong and messy and probably a bad idea. Along with Poppy and Alex and their deep-seated issues surrounding their parents and their relationships with other people. Emily Henry has blessed us with one of the best friends-to-lovers novels that has ever been written. Tell the people you love that you love them. Don’t wait a decade.

(Or read this book for inspiration and then tell them.)
