Jackal by Erin E. Adams

This book was just okay. There were parts that I liked: the premise and the theme of horror rooted in racial inequality. However, I think the execution fell flat. I felt the writing was a bit disjointed and convoluted. There was just too much that was trying to be done in my opinion. I felt the story-telling was pretty choppy, and I kept asking myself if I missed something.
I can see how this book would work for some people. But it just didn't click for me and ended up being mostly a disappointing read.
Also, I didn't like the female narrator for the audiobook. Her performance just felt like bad acting IMO. That may have contributed to my disappointment in the book.
