Since childhood, I’ve always loved the classic movie Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, but for some reason, I had never read the Roald Dahl book that it was inspired by. This week my 8-year-old son and I decided to listen to the audiobook together and see what started it all. It was SO fun! A lot was kept the same, but as usual, a nimber of changes took place when converting the book to the movie. We loved the sound effects, British accents, different voices, creative sweet treat creations, and all the silly phrases and songs. We can’t decide if we like the audiobook or the movie better. They are both great! Thank you, Mr. Dahl, for creating the amazing world of Wonka. We can’t wait to start the next book in the series: Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator! We give this book five scrumdiddlyumptious Wonka chocolate bars! 🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫
