I Think I Love You by Auriane Desombre

1.0

listen i adore sapphic books and i love lgbtq rep but this book was so hard to get through.

emma and sophia were both so selfish and whiney from start to finish, there was absolutely no character development and on top of that it felt like the author was trying to stuff as many tropes as possible into the book - enemies to lovers, sunshine x grumpy etc etc (side note im a sucker for enemies to lovers but this just felt rushed. emma went from i hate sophia to i love sophia in the space of 10 seconds)

plus none of them behaved like teenagers??? they literally behaved like toddlers for the entire book. their drama was so petty and just not worth it at all? and also for a sapphic book there was too much straight romance? like every second page was tom and kate or myrah and peter and i just did not care.

also MATT OH MY GOD it was so painfully obvious from the very first chapter that matt was a MASSIVE asshole and yet not a single character seemed to pay attention to it or pick up on it or thought to investigate further into what he claimed and just accepted it as truth??? they spent a good 6 chapters going on about how kate would never cheat ALL THE WHILE STILL BELIEVING THAT SHE CHEATED. it just made zero sense to me

tbh this book just infuriated me which is disappointing bc the cover and description looked so promising :/
