between 3 and 4 stars on this one…wild, heavy book. super intense and bonkers and out of touch but weirdly relatable. the plot points were held really loosely together by these characters who were so prominent. it touched on heavy themes of mental health and pandemic etc in this super ethereal avoidant way…honestly not sure what i think. my head is still spinning but i’m kind of taken aback by the weight and outrageousness of this book. curious about what else this author has written.
biggest critique: not the most gripping read, esp. in book 1. easy to put down. also was kind of confused as to what was happening at various point but i think it wasn’t meant to be super clear
