my heart. i was moved. not in a way where i feel i relate except maybe some of the parent stuff but wow. such a topic to explore fitting in by gender weight, this person has gone though so much and come out strong. still a struggle though.
my favorite quote of the book was “maybe my strength isn’t this. it’s in being hurt and still choosing to love”
the part about crushes too was heartbreaking “i never wanted to tell people i had crushes on them. because i didn’t want to embarrass them by knowing someone like me liked them”. ouch. what an awful feeling
