Midlife Demon Hunter by Shannon Mayer
5.0
I love this series so much. It is refreshing to have a female protagonist that is older than twenty.
Breena O'Rylee is one tough witch. She has had her share of bad luck in relationships and her ex husband had found a way to make sure that all of their debt went to her while he got the houses including the one that her grandmother had owned.
Befriended by a Bigfoot named Eric, a Fairy named Kinkly, the Fae king himself Crash, her ex husbands cousin Corb who was the black sheep of the family, Suzy a Siren, a Skeleton named Robert and a river princess named Feish.
Crash had bought her Grandma's house from a local auction and was allowing Breena and her friends to live in the house, along with her deceased grandma's ghost.
I love the humor in these books and the action. There is always plenty of action in this series.
In this book Breena must confront a blood Demon, while trying to figure out who had murdered her parents and her Grandma. No easy task when you are also dealing with a Bigfoot who thinks he is in love with a fairy and a Siren that has a crush on the Bigfoot. Nothing good would come from all of that Breena just knew it.
Action packed, a page turner for sure, I read it in one sitting, this is a book you devour, not one you will read slowly over several days.
If you love a strong older female lead character, who has a wicked sense of humor, attempts to cuss but auto correct always "Ducks" it up, if you love paranormal, a little bit of love thrown in for good measure plus have I mentioned the action? Snap this one up you will not regret it.
