How I Resist: Activism and Hope for a New Generation by Maureen Johnson

2.0

Maybe because I am not a young person, I did not learn as much from this book as I had hoped. I want to reassure any adult wondering if this book will radicalize their child, it will not. The resistance described in this book is pretty mild. For sheer creativity expressed, I liked Dylan Marron's entry best. I also think it is terrific that there is a bibliography of resistance book recommendations in the back as well. Are any of those books 'dangerous?' for children to read. No. But they may help young people see how they can change the world.
