Oh, what an amazing ending to the Starcrossed series! This is so bittersweet and nostalgic for me. Tears were definitely shed but I'm also filled with so much love as I close the last page of Endless. If letting go of the series seems painful, Helen will also learn about that in this superb finale!
I thought I read the conclusion of Josephine Angelini's beautifully written YA romantasy series when I was a teenager who read Goddess back in 2013. So while I count my lucky stars that Josie gave us 4 more books in the last 18 months, I can't believe this is our final goodbye to Helen, Lucas, Orion, and everyone else from Daphne to Ladon (to name a few of my favourites). These characters were so lovable, relatable, and flawed, despite most of them being Scions or Gods. Watching these characters grow through the challenges they've faced throughout the series fills me with pride and closure.
What a rollercoaster journey of emotions, with a well-rounded ending! Throughout the Starcrossed series, Josie deftly crafted memorable characters with her masterful storytelling, lyrical writing and fantastic world-building (ha!). Sometimes the hype and anticipation of a finale can be disappointing, but Endless exceeded my high expectations.
While I'm sad the series can't literally be endless and this is goodbye for now, I'm so excited to re-read the entire series to relish in these memories with Helen all over again. As a huge Daphne fan, I'm especially looking forward to re-reading Scions and Outcasts like a duology! Mini vague Endless spoiler: Josie gives Helen and Daphne the most perfect farewell in Endless, which gave me all the feels!!
Starcrossed is the kind of series that will always have a warm space in readers' hearts. I couldn’t recommend Endless and the entire Starcrossed series more. If you love the sound of a Greek mythology YA romantsy with badass characters and brilliant writing, then get your hands on the entire 7-book series now! Warning: You will need tissues, but it’s so worth it.
