This book is fairly convoluted— and in my opinion thinks itself a little more psychologically-clever than it is— but it's also gripping and compelling. I thought the mystery was well-presented and unfolded nicely, and I enjoyed the reveal. I also enjoyed the Eurydice allusions— I love seeing different interpretations of that myth, and I thought it was used quite artfully here. A solid debut novel but
I hope Michaelides's therapist is nothing like this lol
