I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

The Blood of Faeries, while slightly better than its predecessor, is another fantastical (outlandish) novel in Dan Rice's Allison Lee Chronicles. It starts off with Allison being her usual surly self with her endless disdain of those trying to protect her. Due to her arrogance, she puts her squad and herself in danger.

Here is where it starts to get a little bizarre. They're whisked off to an island that has its own covert agenda. They then meet a being who is supposed to no longer exist (enter: the book title after ages of pages) along with some majorly souped-up magical soldiers. I'm trying to avoid spoilers, but let's just say that it gets even more ridiculous from this point.

If you're on the lookout for a magical yet angry teen creature novel, then this one is your book!
