The Certainty of Violet & Luke by Jessica Sorensen

4.0

There was so much build up in the trilogy of Violet and Luke and so much build up in this book in particular for the show down, and the author ended up totally just phoning it in. You literally went from text confrontation to the next page a phone call we got him and a paragraph of this is why he did it. There should have been some sort of actual confrontation after all of the build up. It really left the trilogy just fizzling. Also, in the Kayden and Callie books there was much more interaction with the supporting characters, in the Luke and Violet ones it's like they are an island unto themselves, which doesn't fit with the way Luke was portrayed in the first two books of the overarching series. This is really a 3.5 for me because of these things.
