~The dark Prince and the sweet Princess~
Amir and Zadie’s story starts off in a spectacularly crazy circumstance and sets a quirky, surprisingly fun tone for this unlikely couple.
The story has gritty and dark elements, for me the big surprises was that it was much brighter and fun than I expected.
I really love these characters, they are written so sharply and in a smart, thoroughly entertaining way.

It seems fairly basic, the sweet, shy girl and the bold, bad boy… they are those things and SO much more.
I loved Zadie’s strength and her self-awareness.
I think it sets her apart from the typical heroine in a “bully romance “ She wasn’t clueless or naive. Inexperienced, yes, but so smart emotionally and intellectually. She’s also really kind, but not a pushover.
Amir is alpha in the best ways, he’s very clever, smart and he’s extremely protective of the few people he cares about.
He’s loyal to a fault sometimes and he’s OH, so sexy! He is irresistible to me. I love him so hard.
The two have an unusual situation/relationship and it’s hot in a twisted, naughty way. This is some of the grittier part. But, it evolves into something extremely fun, hot and completely satisfying.

The dirty talk is ON POINT, I ADORE good dirty talkers. These two are freaking fantastic.
The sexy and steamy scenes were very well written and the characters are a total smoke show together. It’s not without emotional depth either.

The characters, main and secondary are all written so vividly and I think that elevates the story so much.
It’s really satisfying for me when I connect with secondary characters, it makes the story fuller and the characters warmer and memorable.
The quips and the banter are really great. I love that all the characters are clever, mouthy and quick witted.
The unexpected friendship Zadie develops with Amir’s best friends is so delightful! I love his friend Julien so much and I want a story for him. He brings a lot of entertainment and heart.
Zadie’s besties and roommates are fabulous. Opposites, but both love Zadie and are ride or die friends.
There are so many hilarious lines, and some epically funny and bada*s scenes that made the story so much more.
I expected the book to be good and I got something great and different than I thought it would be in such wonderful ways.
It’s a very full story with a lot going on, it’s perfectly paced and it has such strong, interesting characters.
The characters are mature, entertaining and they still make mistakes. They aren’t simple or static.
The characters don’t play the victim, they take responsibility and that was an extremely refreshing aspect that I really appreciate in NA bully type romance.
There’s character growth that is important to their story. Loved that.
I absolutely love these characters and this world.
I can’t wait for the next book in the series.
This is a new favorite story and favorite characters. It’s really one of kind fabulous!
