Havoc by Carl Malmberg, Morten Høi Jensen, Tom Kristensen

wanted to read a book set in copenhagen before travelling there and it was surprisingly difficult to find one that wasn’t a murder mystery or something like that. ended up reading it mostly when i was already there - in many cafes and the public library and the national gallery and several parks which was nice. i was also (not intentionally) staying in the same area where most of the action takes place (vesterbro) and could experience wandering around the same streets as ole jastrau at night, maybe more soberly than in the novel. i’m not sure if reading this book enhanced my experience of being there but it was pretty good. it was pretty depressing but not as dark as advertised!
