alilat99 's review for:
The Orchid House
by Lucinda Riley
Although predictable and full of stiff, simplistic dialogue, I still enjoyed this book. I think the twists and turns, although visible from a mile away, were still well done and I think the author did a good job jumping back and forth between the two time periods and keeping the stories moving. I will note that sometimes it was hard to tell who the story was about since the author focused on Olivia for part of the book and then Harry, so I felt sort of disconnected from them at different times. I think all of the characters could have been developed a little better. Nice, neat happy ending too, which I normally don't like, but it worked for this book.
