The Consequences of Fear: A Maisie Dobbs Novel by Jacqueline Winspear, Jacqueline Winspear

3.0

As I imagine the folks who actually lived during WWII were, I am growing weary of the war-time setting. Well loved characters barely make an appearance, the new love interest was not developed any more at all (leaving me in the same position as I was in with the last book of "I am not a fan"), and Robbie Macfarlane was a straight up a$$h013 almost this entire book. It was also super slow paced for most of the book, and the pieces of the mystery were all suddenly revealed at the end vs. slowly accumulating throughout the narrative.
