it was quite hard to get into during part 1 (even though the movie is one of my all time favourites) because of the pacing and also really ??? uncomfortable ??? scenes ??? like when a guy tries to fuck his gf with charlie in the room. but ultimately i loved it because, well, i already loved these characters and i’ve already spent atleast 2 hours of my life crying at the last 20 minutes of the movie across different rewatches. the writing style seemed to get increasingly better throughout the book (i think this was intentional as charlie was improving as a writer through his essays for his english teacher) overall this book and movie makes me sad as shit and although i understand why people wouldnt like this book, i did enjoy it and i am glad i finally decided to read it. love u paul rudd <3
