Where'd You Go, Bernadette by Maria Semple

5.0

As a seattleite myself, I loved the commentary on Seattle culture and also the lovely descriptions of the landscape and weather. It made me super nostalgic ❤

As for the characters, Bernadette is witty and clever, if not a little harsh and antisocial. But even with her vices, you can't help but love her and root for her. Same with Bee. Their mother-daughter relationship is beautiful.

Ms. Semple's story is so well done and fascinating. It's hard to put this book down.
