This book is written in a way that it is easy to understand what is going on.
The book contains some very heavy themes and the beginning was really hard to get through. However, the book kind of goes down hill for me. There felt like there were too many coincidences and the resolution to the problem presented at the end felt unrealistic.
The book also fails to properly portray the historical context of everything going on at the time.
However, it is a work of fiction so I wouldn’t expect it too. Ignoring all that- it was a difficult and emotional read, all around decent book
