Vanessa Nakate's book takes on the issue of the climate emergency as one of the recent generation of young voices speaking up, and as a voice for the Global South -- whose perspective is lacking. In itself, it wasn't particularly surprising to me; I have my own angle through which I'm particularly passionate about climate change (emerging infectious diseases), and as such I was aware of a lot of the specifics here, though not the day-to-day life of a Ugandan (so that part was newer to me). Her voice is fresh and fairly optimistic, despite everything, and she urges action (of course). Very readable, light on the science, more about giving her perspective.
