The Invention of Hugo Cabret by Brian Selznick

This was so wonderful. I’m actually really glad I read this now as an adult. At this point in my life, I’ve read about and seen a number of the films mentioned in this book, and I think that helped me to enjoy the story more than I would have when I was younger and unfamiliar with Georges Méliès and classic French cinema.
