Delirium by Lauren Oliver
5.0

I just finished this book, and I have to say, it surprised me over and over again.

Although the plot is pretty straightforward, as in you can see where the story is going to end up in broad strokes, I found myself surprised time and time again by this book, and I loved that about it. Lauren Oliver builds tension on the action (and the unexpected) effortlessly, and, although the story is, at it's core, about love, she doesn't let the story revolve only around the relationship between Lena and Alex, but instead uses it as a stepping stone for Lena's discoveries about her world.

This book is thrilling, and heart wrenching, and surprising in all of the best ways. A wild ride, and a ride I can't wait to continue.
