I love this book! Someone at Barnes and Noble suggested that I read it (and the whole series), and I am very thankful for them in hindsight!

I read this book in a few sittings, and that is a lot for me! I absolutely fell in LOVE with the characters of Sabriel and Touchstone, as well with the whole universe of the Old Kingdom.

This book was very emotional, and so far the most emotional in the series. I definitely will have to re-read it :)

When Sabriel realized the responsibilities that she had to take on and the fact that her father likely wouldn’t survive, it was a very emotional moment. This is the perfect fantasy coming-of-age story.

This story is one that everyone needs to read, and I would love for a television adaptation.

My favorite character was Sabriel, obviously!

Re-read: Finished 1/1/24

I still love this book and series. Coming back to read it, I realize how much I love Lirael, but that doesn’t make me dislike Sabriel. Still a good book! I feel like I need to read it a third time to properly digest everything, still.
