This was a really varied collection of short stories, which was a bit hit and miss for me. It does make sense that they're all so different because they're all stories which were never included in other collections. The spiritual/romantic ones weren't my favourites but there were also some puzzle mysteries which I really liked. I also enjoyed that each story had an afterword giving context on its original publication.
