I really did not like this, but I gave it two stars because I finished it. The characters were flat. The lead girl, just accepted everything anyone told her and was a lapdog. She never freaked out or anything really. And she decided not to tell her Mom to keep her safe. Ummm...what about you? The paranormal world answered no questions, but kept adding more powers and layers without setting any kind of foundation. Where did they come from? What was the basic powers? Did they have an agenda? What was with the different color wings? What was with the bad breath? Why did they think she was "special"? They never said why they thought it was her. Just that it could be. Did they do this stuff to all the other girls in town already? She was the new girl so it was her turn. And the murder at the beginning. No big. Dropped. What? It was really bad. I finished it because I thought maybe at the end they would answer or explain something. Nope. It was set up for a sequel though. Yay.

P.S. Did they even tell us what the main character looked like?
