Love & Saffron
by Kim Fay
I listened to this one on audio, and loved the narration.
It’s an epistolary novel between two women who become very dear friends as they write letters back-and-forth over the years.
One of the women has a home on Camano Island (very near where I live), and hearing her speak of the Pacific Northwest back in the 1950s and 1960s was truly entertaining.
A large thread of the women’s friendship includes experiencing good food, and there are even recipes included at the end of the story, along with a really great note from the author.
I’ve heard that the print edition is also a great way to take in this book, but as I said, I THOROUGHLY enjoyed the audio version.
It’s a very quick read, and will definitely be one that I read again.
