Half Broke Horses: A True-Life Novel
by Jeannette Walls
The life of Jeannette's grandmother, Casey lived an amazing life. Growing up on a working ranch in Texas when people were accustomed to having to do without and figure it all out by themselves. At one point when Casey is married and now living in Arizona, she decides that some of the domestic duties can be done away with such as washing clothes. And that is just what the entire family did, wearing clothes frontwards and backwards until the clothes literally would fall off their body.
I am thoroughly impressed by people of this caliber. Plus the writing style really draws you in and before you know it, the book has ended and I was not ready for it.
