I knew Audrey and Brody’s story would capture my heart but I just didn’t expect to fall so hard for such an underdog couple! Brody was her hero. Saving her from a fire that took her family and everything she’d ever known, he was her rock, her confidant and only friend. That relationship built on trust was the perfect jumping off point for something romantic to start between these two. I couldn’t help but root for their love for each other to be voiced and hope that they would receive he approval of their friends and family. I also loved Bennett’s character in this book! He was an unlikely ally for Audrey and I thought he really helped ground her character in the high school / 17 yr old version of herself (that was easy to forget she was).
The good guy gets the girl in the end! I hope they get their HEA like the other couples in this series!
