Outlive: The Science and Art of Longevity by Peter Attia

hopeful informative inspiring reflective medium-paced

2.0

Peter discusses the important pillars of health to give the best chance of increasing your health span.

A lot of the book was informative and eye opening (I will definitely be cutting back on a lot of alcohol), but the nutritional content left much to be desired. I feel as he was a staunch supporter of Keto which is shown time and time again to be such a poor diet for the vast majority of people, that has left some blinders on him. For example, WHO has stated that red meat is a carcinogen. Peter dismisses this based on the fact that because he can’t remember what he ate a few days ago that no one can and the results are false. The highly increased protein intake does also seem a little off for the regular person.
