Sy Montgomery is one of my new favourite authors and people. After reading her memoir ’How To Be A Good Creature’ I was delighted to find out that she had written many more books and I could learn even more about the creatures in her life.
Sy is one of those, one of a kind people, that you don’t come across very often. Who completely loves and respects all animals, including those who tend to be misunderstood.
The way she describes a spider that she made friends with on one of her research trips that she went on to study spiders, tells me just the kind of person she is. I hold much respect for her.
In this book ‘The Good Good Pig’ it follows the story of Christopher a runt that Sy and her partner took in when it was unlikely he would have made it otherwise. It follows their life, the lessons Sy learned from Christopher and much more pig related facts that I never knew I needed to know.
It’s such a good read especially for the animal lover in your life.
