4.0

I tore through this one, and debated giving it five stars. We'll say 4.5. I think the book is much better than the Netflix series, which seems overly dramatic in comparison to the real events of Piper's incarceration. The book includes so much more thoughtful material on Piper's rehabilitation. Despite the long stretch between her sentencing and her punishment, she really does have room to grow as a person when she enters the prison. Her thoughts on mandatory minimum sentencing are worth discovering - this opened my eyes to much that goes on in our criminal justice system. Highly recommended.
