What Are You Going Through by Sigrid Nunez

5.0

4.5 stars
This was super reminiscent of "Writers and Lovers" by Lily King for its slice of life narrative and overall take-it-or-leave-it tone. This is very much one of those books that read as a stream of consciousness and I really, really enjoyed it. Our narrator recounts past conversations, interactions, and small moments that culminate into an overarching commentary on the variety of life experiences and human connection. There are some ethical queries, some notes on grief, some moments of humor, and I felt like all of it was done so well.
