Identity by Milan Kundera

4.0

Mundanity, companionship, memory, the erotic, friendship and love and identity woven throughout this tiny little novella, explored with such interest by Milan Kundera and translated by Linda Asher.

I finished this in a day weeks ago but I keep thinking of points made in this one. Such an absolute treat! This is my first Milan Kundera and it definitely won’t be my last. Any reccs for the next I should pick up?

Sorry it’s such a short review. I just figured short was better than nothing at all. I really liked this one, and liked the “older” protagonists. It gets a little “weird” as it goes on, even dreamlike in moments, but so grounded in human condition.
