While this book started off strong in the first half or so, with great characterization complete with, in my opinion, pretty unlikeable but interesting characters, the last half could probably have benefited from an extra 100-200 pages. What so intrigued me about Arthur, the Coyles, and Count Dunning seemed to be abandoned in favor of very 2D characters. The plot and story itself was interesting and definitely had great potential but I found myself lamenting the flatness of the protagnists as compared to how much I enjoyed reading about them in the beginning.
