The Perfect Neighbors by Sarah Pekkanen

4.0

I liked this book. Premise is a less raunchy Desperate Housewives - everyone looks like they have their lives together, but behind the scenes there are LOTS of secrets to discover.

I found the characters in this book a little less relateable than in Pekkanen's others books. Mostly one couple (Tessa and Harry). Although the author seems to justify their cold, odd personas through the difficulty child rearing and a trauma (that I won't spoil) in their past, I still didn't find them redeemable. The other characters, well flawed, were still likeable. The perfect happy endings that characterizes Pekkanen's novels also felt a little forced here.
