This book is wildly unhinged but I very much enjoyed reading it.
Irina’s narrative voice is unreliable, deeply cynical, manipulative, sociopathic, and darkly funny.
I appreciated the way the author built genuine and thoughtful sociocultural commentary on gender roles and power structures into this book in a thought provoking (but not heavy-handed) way despite said commentary coming from the voice of an absolute maniac.
