Sinister Graves by Marcie R. Rendon

dark mysterious sad medium-paced

3.75

I find it hard to believe some of the events in this book. One that stands out in my memory is (spoiler alert) when the pastor's wife is describing in great detail how she got the stolen baby. Seems like something that someone in that position—one where she's chasing the person who took the baby from her—would be inclined to explain. She had no reason to. She wasn't being threatened in order to get an explanation out of her. And the interaction between Cash and the pastor and his wife just doesn't seem very realistic either. Why would Cash walk in on them having sex (just why open that door??) and just stand there as the pastor grabs her and throws her in the basement. There really isn't sufficient explanation for some of the interactions. I could go on, but I've spent as much time on this story as I want to.
