I listened to this book driving from New York to Ohio. Having enjoyed shows such as Criminal Minds I figured this would expose me to the real narrative that inspired the show. This narrative takes you inside the mind of some of the most notorious criminals. More interesting yet are the lesser known criminals that are covered in equal detail. Readers will be (and should be) uncomfortable throughout the entirety of the novel. While I did enjoy this novel the author does go on several tangents that take the reader out of the novel. In particular he fixates on the death penalty at several points and tries to force his opinion on the reader.
